FESTİVAL

COMPETITION LIST OF CONDITIONS

1-) Mozart Academy V. International Piano Contest will be held in two phases for four different age categories of 

5-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-20.
2-) All participants will receive a certificate for attending the competition.
3-) A participant can only enter the competition within his/her age group.
4-) Application for the competition requires a mandatory fee, which is 250 TL ( Participants who live outside of Turkey, may pay the fee when they arrive. )
5-) The application fee will be paid to the bank account of İş Bankası Alsancak Branch Office, 3401-1090579 , IBAN NUMBER: TR88 0006 4000 0023 4010 7526 73  , to the Mozart Association account.
6-) Applicants are responsible for all their accommodation, meal and travel expenses.
7-) All phases of the competition are open and free to public.
8- ) All participants are required to perform by memory.
9-) All participants for the competition are required to be present and ready at the music hall at least one hour ahead of time announced by the organizers.
11-) The Jury have the right to award prizes ex aequo (i.e.may grant more than one person the first, second or third place in each age category.) Should  such a condition occur, the monetary awards will be divided among those who completed the competition with the same ranking.
12-) The competition applicants are required to fill out the application forms and any other competition related documents and email them to Mozart Academy ( mozartakademi@gmail.com ) by 30 April 2019 deadline.

Note 1:  For the age calculations the competition day, 22 June 2019, will be taken as the base.
Note 2: The competition is open for all students who are amateurs and professionals. The students who receive education from  the conservatory and fine arts highschool and other music schools, full-time or part-time, can be a participant in this competition.
Note 3: The students will receive their participation certificates during the Awards Ceremony. The students who are absent during the Awards Ceremony , will lose their certificate rights.

Note 4: The students who will be chosen among the students who get a place in the competition, are obligated to perform during the Awards Ceremony Final Concert.

FESTIVAL LIST OF CONDITIONS:

1-) Mozart Academy Piano Festival, will be held in two phases for two different age categories of  5-12 and 13-20.


2-) For each festival participant within the age category of 5-12 will be given max. 5 minutes, for the age category of 13-20 will be given max. 8 minutes for their performances.

3-) Participants from the categories of  5-12 and 13-20 , within the given time, are allowed to perform max. three selected music pieces. 

4-) Every participant of the festival will be rewarded within the various success criterias specified down below.

5-) The festival participants are required to fill out the application forms and any other festival related documents and email them to Mozart Academy ( mozartakademi@gmail.com ) by 30 April 2019 deadline.


6-) The application for the festival requires a mandatory fee, which is 175 TL.


7-) The application fee will be paid to the bank account of İş Bankası Alsancak Branch Office, 3401-1090579 , IBAN NUMBER: TR88 0006 4000 0023 4010 7526 73  , to the Mozart Association account.


8-) All phases of the competition are open and free to public.


9-) Participants of the festival are responsible for all their accommodation, meal and travel expenses.


10-) All participants are required to perform by memory. The reprises which are specified in the piece will not be played.
11-) All participants for the competition are required to be present and ready at the music hall at least one hour ahead of time announced by the organizers.


12-) The five best pianists who will be chosen during the festival will be performing at the Awards Ceremony. 

 

Note :  The participants of the festival will receive their award certificate during the ceremony. The participants who are not present at the ceremony will lose their certificate rights. 

FESTIVAL AWARD CRITERIAS:

  • Baroque Period Success Award

  • Classical Period Success Award

  • Romantic Period Success Award

  • Contemporary Period Success Award

  • Jazz Piece Success Award

  • Folk Piece Success Award

  • Pop Piece Success Award

  • Artistic Attitude and Esthetic Appearance Success Award

  • Musicality-Musical Dynamics Success Award

  • Best Performance Success Award ( It will be given to maximum 5 participant. The participants who will get this award, will earn the right to perform one musical piece during the Awards Ceremony ) 


JURY REGULATIONS:

  • The jury members will be internationally experienced and professionals in their field.

  • The students and relatives of the jury members cannot participate in the competition. 

  • The Jury members will be announced 15 days before the competition date.
